Charging your EV6 from home can be up to 6x faster using a Level 2 charger. Level 2 chargers plug into 240 volt outlets and therefore normally require an installation, which can be handled by Lectrium. If you're looking for a faster way to charge from home, Level 2 chargers add more than 30 miles of range per hour. Level 2 chargers also come with different amperage levels, which determines how many kilowatts (kW) your EV can receive. The KIA EV6 receives the following kW per charger per hour: 7.4kWh (32A charger), 9.4kWh (40A charger) and 11kWh (48A charger). Learn more about the benefits of Level 2 charging here.
Selecting your Level 2 charger is a nuanced decision. Make sure to take into consideration your home's electrical set-up and your charging needs. Lectrium offers different chargers for different needs: Grizzl-E Classic (simple and powerful, operates manually), Grizzl-E Smart (smart charging capabilities allowing you to manage your charger from a mobile phone), Grizzl-E Duo (ability to charge two EVs at the same time) and all Juicebox chargers (32A, 40A and 48A). If you already have a charger or prefer to buy it separately, we can still help you with your installation. To learn more about our chargers and installations, visit our website.
